As a Mechanical Engineer, you will join the Mechanics, Development and Design (MDD) section, where you will contribute to the design and development of advanced electromechanical systems for accelerator beam transfer across the entire CERN accelerator complex. * Knowledge of structural analysis using finite element methods. * Ability to work in an international multi-disciplinary team with physicists, engineers and technicians. * Skills to prepare comprehensive technical documentation. * Experience with FEA software is an advantage * Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French.

* You are a national of a [CERN Member or Associate Member State](https://home.cern/about/member-states). * By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree. * You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before. * Applicants without University degree are not eligible. * Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
