Key responsibilities

## About this job:

EMA is looking for a colleague who is passionate about transparency and has scientific and/or regulatory expertise. The successful candidate(s) will be joining a supportive and dedicated team working to ensure EMA meets its transparency obligations.

The role includes working on the anonymisation of personal data (PD) and the handling of commercially confidential information (CCI) in documents intended for release and/or publication as well as broader transparency measures and upcoming legislation.

## In this job you will:

* Assess commercially confidential information (CCI) and protected personal data (PPD) / anonymisation methodology in the context of document-/data-sharing with stakeholders; * Peer review of other document managers’ assessments of CCI and anonymisation of personal data within set deadlines; * Analyse new EU legislation to identify transparency requirements for EMA; participation in the design of implementation plan(s), taking into account digital needs, feasibility assessment(s) and alignment with other EU transparency initiatives to ensure EMA meets its transparency obligations; * Provide guidance/scientific input to help with identifying and locating documents/data when required; * Assess CCI and anonymisation of personal data when EMA is consulted as a third party; * Identify issues and escalate them as required; * Draft, review and/or develop internal and external procedural guidance documents; * Respond to requests for information (RFIs) when applicable in line with the Agency’s practice.

To be eligible for consideration for this position, you are required to meet the following general and specific eligibility conditions:

General conditions:

1. Enjoy full rights as a citizen of a European Union Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway; 2. Have a thorough knowledge of English (at least level C1) and a satisfactory knowledge of another official language of the European Union (at least level B2); 3. Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by applicable laws concerning military service.

Specific conditions:

1. A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years in Medicine (veterinary and/or human), Pharmacy, other Life Sciences (veterinary and/or human) or related area, Legal or International affairsattested by a diploma that must have been obtained by the closing date of this vacancy notice.

General Condition 1 and Specific Condition 1 will be verified firstly based on the application form and then you will be required to provide documentary evidence at the interview stage. Failure to present these documents may result in the disqualification from the selection procedure.

Salary at this grade

Basic monthly salary at FGIV runs from €4,449 (step 1) to €5,034 (top step), giving an annual range of roughly €53,388 to €60,408 before tax and allowances. Steps increase automatically every two years; the figures here are taken from the salary grid in the EU Staff Regulations.

Eligible staff posted away from their country of nationality also receive an expatriation allowance worth 16% of basic salary (around €712 per month at step 1 of FGIV) together with household, dependent-child, and education allowances where applicable.
