WE PROPOSE
Unit C1 of DG INTPA is seeking to hire one International Aid/Cooperation Officer to work in the
Afghanistan and Migration team. The position will consist of the following responsibilities and main
tasks:
Under the supervision of the Team Leader/Head of Sector, assist in the preparation, identification,
formulation and implementation follow-up of cooperation action plans, projects and activities in
Afghanistan. Monitor coherence with overall policies (in co-creation), in particular related to
fragility, migration & security, and provide professional inputs on country and regional matters in

WE LOOK FOR
We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and proactive candidate with a strong interest in
international cooperation and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal profile for the job is a university graduate with at least three years of professional
experience in program management, preferably in international cooperation and development. The
successful candidate demonstrates strong analytical, drafting and communication skills, sound
knowledge of EU development cooperation policies and project cycle management, and the ability
to coordinate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in a multicultural environment.

• Are a citizen of a Member State of the EU and enjoy full rights as a citizen;

Salary at this grade
Basic monthly salary at FGIV runs from €4,449 (step 1) to €5,034 (top step), giving an annual range of roughly €53,388 to €60,408 before tax and allowances. Steps increase automatically every two years; the figures here are taken from the salary grid in the EU Staff Regulations.
Eligible staff posted away from their country of nationality also receive an expatriation allowance worth 16% of basic salary (around €712 per month at step 1 of FGIV) together with household, dependent-child, and education allowances where applicable.
