CA - FGIII is a Contract Agent (FG) function group, used for fixed-term posts across all EU institutions and agencies. By contrast, AD grades (AD5-AD16) cover Administrator policy and management work, AST grades (AST1-AST11) cover technical and administrative assistants, and AST/SC grades cover secretarial and clerical support. FG I covers manual tasks, FG II clerical support, FG III executive tasks, and FG IV administrative, advisory, linguistic, or technical tasks.
